What It Is and What It Is Used For:
Terbinafine Hydrochloride Cream 1% w/w contains terbinafine hydrochloride, an antifungal that kills fungi causing skin infections. It is used for the local treatment of fungal infections of the skin only.
Before Using This Medicine:
Do Not Use If:

You are allergic to terbinafine hydrochloride or any other ingredient in the cream.
Warnings and Precautions:

For external use only.
-
Avoid contact with eyes; rinse thoroughly with water if contact occurs and inform your doctor.

Discontinue use and seek medical advice if an allergic reaction occurs.
-
Fire hazard: Fabric (clothing, bedding, dressings) in contact with this cream burns easily. Avoid smoking or naked flames. Washing may reduce but not remove the risk.
Other Medicines:
Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are using, have recently used, or might use any other medicines.
Pregnancy and Breast-feeding:

Consult your doctor before using if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding.

Do not use while breastfeeding as terbinafine can pass into breast milk.
Driving and Machine Use:
Terbinafine Hydrochloride Cream 1% w/w does not affect your ability to drive or operate machines.
How to Use:
-
Adults (including older people): Apply 1-2 times daily as advised by your doctor.

Recommended treatment duration:
-
Tinea pedis (Athlete’s foot): 1 week
-
Tinea cruris (Jock itch) & Tinea corporis (Ringworm): 1-2 weeks
-
Cutaneous Candida: 2 weeks
-
Pityriasis versicolor: 2 weeks
-

Continue treatment even if the infection improves quickly. If no improvement in 2 weeks, consult your doctor.
Directions:
-
Clean and dry the affected area; wash your hands.
-
Squeeze a small amount onto your finger.
-
Apply a thin layer to the affected area and surrounding skin; rub in gently.
-
Cover with a light gauze at night if applied to toes, groin, or buttocks.
-
Replace the cap and wash hands after use.
-
Use your own clean towels and clothes; avoid rubbing or scratching.
-
Full skin healing may continue up to 4 weeks after treatment.
Use in Children:
Not recommended for children under 12 years.
If Overused:
-
Wipe off excess if too much is applied.
-
If swallowed, seek medical help immediately. Symptoms may include headache, nausea, dizziness, and stomach pain.
If Forgotten:
Apply as soon as you remember; if close to your next application, continue as normal.
Do Not Stop Early:
Stopping treatment early may cause the infection to return.
Possible Side Effects:
Seek Immediate Medical Help If You Experience:

Difficulty breathing or swallowing.

Swelling of the face, lips, mouth, tongue, or throat.

Severe skin itching, rash, hives, or blisters.
Other Possible Side Effects:
-
Common (up to 1 in 10): Skin peeling, itching.

Uncommon (up to 1 in 100): Skin lesions, scabs, skin color changes, redness, burning, pain, irritation.
-
Rare (up to 1 in 1,000): Eye irritation, dry skin, contact dermatitis, eczema, worsening symptoms.
Report any side effects to your doctor, pharmacist, or nurse, including those not listed.

Store below 25°C, protected from light.

Keep out of reach of children.
